East Chapel (Kisdon View) and West Chapel (Waterfall View) The Chapel was built in 1863 and the present yew tree was planted shortly afterwards. The Chapel has since undergone a luxury conversion into two separate properties.
The East Chapel overlooks the village of Thwaite with Kisdon Hill rising impressively behind. West Chapel overlooks Thwaite beck and waterfall. Each property can accommodate from two up to six guests in three bedrooms: a double/twin bedroom with ensuite shower & basin and small double room with bathroom & toilet adjacent on the ground floor, along with a washing machine and utility area. There is a large twin bedroom with ensuite shower, basin & toilet on the upper floor. The Velux windows on the upper floor give fine views all around; with Thwaite and Kisdon Hill rising behind the village from the East Wing and Great Shunner Fell from the West Wing. On the mid-floor there is a large lounge/dining room with comfortable seating and quality decoration, with the large Chapel windows overlooking the glorious countryside. Flat screen TV with Sky Freeview Package inc. Radio, & DVD Player. WiFi is available. Games & books, and leaflets on local walks & attractions. There is a wood-burning stove for inclement weather; otherwise there is plenty of warmth and hot water provided by oil central heating.
The very well equipped kitchen is also on this floor, cooker with ceramic hob, dish-washer, microwave etc., with good quality cutlery & crockery. |
